Default Configuration

Out of the box, the ForceFlash is configured to flash the tail lamps under three different scenarios: normal braking, medium braking, heavy braking. This page will summarize the default configuration only, please remember that these settings are fully customizable. You can change the G-Force thresholds, number of flashes, rate of flash and other settings. Please see the Programming Guide for more information. The settings below apply to the Advanced and Basic versions of the ForceFlash. Please see the FAQ for the difference in the two versions.

  • Normal Braking – Braking that does not exceed 0.50 G’s
    • Tail lamps pulse twice at a quick rate.
    • After flashing, tail lamps are solid.
  • Medium Braking – Braking that exceeds 0.50 G’s but not 0.70 G’s
    • Tail lamps pulse 5 times at a medium rate.
    • After flashing, tail lamps are solid.
  • Heavy Braking – Braking that exceeds 0.70 G’s
    • Tail lamps pulse 15 times at a quick rate.
    • After flashing, tail lamps are solid.

Under all scenarios above, if the brake pedal is released during a flash cycle, the tail lamps will cease to flash as with normal braking.
